and dedication make it possible for us to offer an unsurpassed level of non-medical personal care that allows our
clients to maintain greater independence and dignity in the place they call home. We would especially like to
congratulate the following franchise owners who were recently honored at our national conference for their
outstanding efforts and passion.
Shooting Star Award Winner - Janet Dean from Peebles, Ohio
Janet’s business was ranked #59 in Home Helpers sales in 2006. Over the past year, her ranking has skyrocketed to
an even more impressive #9. Janet has achieved this success by consistently growing all aspects of her business
through exceptional operations efficiencies, client satisfaction responses, successful local marketing and exceptional
service.

Indianapolis, Indiana
Sharon and Julie are both energetic and enthusiastic women who operate highly successful businesses, while always
maintaining a reputation of integrity and reliability. In addition to their business success, these franchisees
continually give back to the Home Helpers community by generously sharing their time, talent and best practices.
Rookie of the Year Award - Pablo Martinez from Santa Barbara, California
Pablo talks fast, thinks fast and multi-tasks all the time. It’s rare to have a conversation that is not interrupted by
another call or one of his staff asking a question. Since obtaining his first client in October of last year, he has
increased monthly sales by more than 6,000 percent!
People’s Choice Award - Lisa and Patrick Attardo from Encinitas, California
Lisa and Patrick were nominated by their peers for making exceptional contributions to the Home Helpers franchise
community, as well as developing a successful business that unselfishly mentors others. This couple has been
sharing their best practices for many years. In fact, they recently traveled 50 miles to provide Direct Link services to
the client of a neighboring Home Helpers franchise that does not offer this service.
Pioneer Award - Adam Brown, Tom Carroll, Ralph Digneo, Frank Esterle,
Peg and Ron Galipeau, Tom
Krupp, Greg Scheck and John Squires, all from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
This award goes to a group of franchisees that channeled their creative thinking and pooled their monetary forces to
come up with an innovative way to grow their Home Helpers and Direct Link businesses. Their successful efforts
allowed them to create a successful advertising/marketing coop that resulted in many opportunities that would not
have been an option for a single business owner.
Caregiver of the Year Award - Patricia Johnson from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

spread the word about their business.
